Understanding ecosystem behavior and resilience within a changing world

Broadly, my research lies at the intersection of ecology, hydrology, and geomorphology. I am interested in understanding

the relationships between aboveground ecosystems and belowground processes (e.g. water cycling and weathering).

I use interdisciplinary methods including subsurface drilling and excavation, eco-hydrometry, stable isotopes, dendroecology, and near-surface geophysics.

I received my Ph.D. in Earth Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz within the Watershed Hydrology Lab.

Starting Fall 2024, I will serve as the Earth and Planetary Science department's Excellence Fellow and postdoctoral researcher hosted by the Rempe Research Group at the University of Texas,  Austin.
